About Us

Although some would consider us a relative newcomer, we have come a long way since our original small beginnings and are now a fully-fledged supplier of sufficient size and competence providing a full range of localization services for regional languages.

The company was founded in 2000 as an affiliate of North Africa Company (NAC for Technology), one of the largest suppliers of computer hardware in the Middle East region. In 2004 due to its ongoing success and increasing size, the company was registered as a private stock company, eLocalize for Technology SAE,

The goal has always been to deliver quality services to our clients and in this regard we have worked continuously to upgrade our infrastructure, still ongoing, and our performance. We believe this focus on the constant development of our operation has helped power the sustainable fast development which the company has enjoyed:

  • 2005 - A DTP department and an integrated engineering team were added to the operation.
  • 2009 - Service office opened in Germany.
  • 2010 - Branch office established in Johannesburg, South Africa.
  • 2010 - Cairo office space was expanded to keep pace with the number of employees. In this year, a branch was opened in South Africa for African languages.
  • 2012 - The Common Sense Advisory ranking placed eLocalize in second position as a language service provider in Africa and the Middle East.
  • 2013 - The Johannesburg office now registered as a standalone South African company was expanded to keep pace with the development of the African language market. And to provide local and global markets with localization services in all African languages.
  • 2014 - Introduction of Plunet management software to enhance and upgrade our in-house structure.

Despite the extremely difficult situation that arose in January 2011 with the Arab Spring revolution, which ground most business in the country to a halt for almost a month, eLocalize, thanks to its motivated staff and an emergency management plan, kept its operation up and running. This in spite of curfews, lack of public transport and unsafe conditions on the streets, and including all services to the outside world being cut at one stage.

Since that time and due to the ongoing unsettled political state of the country, we have perfected our organizational and technical infrastructure to deal with any unexpected contingencies in the future. Due to measures such as power backup systems, varied internet solutions and an in-house system that enables us to work in a decentralized mode and an external generator,we are able to function normally and service our clients under all circumstances, no matter whatever unexpected situation should arise.
